What advice would you give your
40-year-old self?
I would tell my 40-year-old self to step
back and live in the moment more.
I often get wrapped up in the big
picture and forget to be present every
second, which I feel is very important.
If an alien walked up to you and
asked to be shown around Earth,
where would you take them first?
I would take them to Buffalo Phil’s to
get buffalo chicken dip because it is
my favorite food ever.
If you could go into any book,
movie or video game world, where
would you go and how long would
you survive? I would go into Harry
Potter because it was my favorite
series growing up. I think I would
survive throughout its entirety.
What is a little-known fact about
you? I love art! I frequently paint, and
I love photography and mixed media.
I find researching art very fascinating.

What is your favorite UA
tradition? My favorite UA tradition
is singing “Dixieland Delight” during
football games. I have always been
a huge football fan, but this tradition
is so special to me because it is so
fun to have all my friends singing
together and cheering on the Tide in
Bryant-Denny!
When did you know you wanted
to go to UA? I knew that I wanted to
attend UA the second that I stepped
on campus during my junior year
of high school. I toured nearly 20
universities, but nothing matched
the true feeling of home I had at
Alabama. As soon as I walked across
the Quad, I felt so at ease and knew
that this was where I wanted to
spend my next four years.
Where would you live if you could
live anywhere? I would want to live in
the inland waterways of South Carolina.
Growing up, my family frequently
vacationed at Kiawah Island, and I have
always felt at peace there. Additionally,
I love all of the nature that fills the area.
If you could start a club about
any topic, what would the topic be?
I would start a special interest club
for rock-and-roll bands, particularly
bands from the ’60s and ’70s.
If you could magically gain one
talent, what would you want?
I would like to be better at singing.
I love playing guitar and enjoy music
in general, but I wish I had a better
voice.
What was the first thing that you
learned about UA? The first thing I
learned about UA was how easy it
is to get involved. Everyone I met
seemed to be involved in a plethora
of activities and organizations, and
that was a huge reason that I loved
UA so much.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose to pursue a dual degree
in economics and political science
because these are both fields that
are interesting to me. Additionally,
I have always wanted to go to law
school, and these are both relevant
topics when entering the field.
What is your dream job? My
dream job is to become a lobbyist
for the National Wild Turkey
Federation, the National Wildlife
Federation or a similar organization,
or to become a senator and
serve on the Subcommittee on
Conservation, Forestry, Natural
Resources, and Biotechnology of the
Senate Committee on Agriculture,
Nutrition, and Forestry. I have grown
up outdoors, fishing, hunting and
hiking, and I am extremely interested
in policy, so combining these two
interests and being able to make
productive changes for something
I am passionate about would be my
dream.
