Men’s golf team prodigy William
Jennings has become the first golfer
in UA history to have two first-place
finishes during the team’s first three
tournaments.
Jennings only played one tournament last year and was
an alternate throughout the offseason, but he is already doing
big things.
Jennings’ first tournament win this year was at the Folds
of Honor Tournament from Sept. 8-10 in Grand Haven,
Michigan. He scored a 4-under par 209 and was granted
an automatic exemption into the PGA Tour’s 2026 Rocket
Mortgage Classic.
His second tournament win came when he tied for
first with a 1-under par 209 at the Ben Hogan Collegiate
Invitational presented by Charles Schwab in Fort Worth,
Texas, from Sept. 29-30.
He was named SEC Men’s Golfer of the Week for the first
time after his win.
After not seeing the green consistently last year, Jennings
has an overall stroke average of 70.44 in his first three
tournaments played in 2025.

TITLES
The Alabama track and field program
was represented by seven current
and six former student-athletes at
the World Athletics Championships in
Tokyo from Sept. 13-21.
400-meter sprinter Jereem Richards ’17 won silver and
beat his own national record with a time of 43.72. This was
the third World Championships medal he has claimed.
Khaleb McRae ’24 won a silver medal as part of a 4x400meter relay event. He ran a 44.61 in the third leg of the relay
for a total time of 2:57.83. This was his first career medal in
track and field. He also reached the semifinal round of the
400-meter sprint while at the World Championships.
Additionally, Dismus Lokira has been named men’s runner
of the week for the second time in three weeks after finishing
fourth in the 8k Gold Race at the Gans Creek Classic with a
time of 22:44.10. This was his third time being given this title
in his track and field career.
Alabama led the SEC but finished fourth overall for men’s
teams at World Championships.

Alabama swimmer Lolly Milbaum
has been named to the U.S. Junior
National Team roster as an open water
competitor for the second time in her
college career.
200 backstroker Tommy Hagar will compete with the U.S.
national team, according to USA Swimming. He boasted the
sixth-best 200 backstroke time in the nation last year.
In addition to these awards, the team dominated their
season opener versus Delta State on Sept. 26. The Crimson
Tide won every event out of the 32 swum that day.
Cadence Vincent and Tim Korstanje were members of both
the medley and freestyle relay and won an individual event.
Emily Jones, Jada Scott and Lance Johnson won two individual
events and a relay. Gaby Van Brunt competed in both relays and
won the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.13.
Twelve swimmers won multiple events in the win against
Delta State.
Tim Korstanje and Cadence Vincent were named the SEC
Male and Female Swimmers of the Week for their wins, and
Colten Cryer was named Male Diver of the Week.

PRIDE
Preseason soccer award watch
lists were released in early August,
with seven Alabama soccer players
mentioned.
Senior Gianna Paul earned a spot on the Southeastern
Conference, United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch Forwards List and TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Best XI
Third Team honors lists. This is her third time on the SEC
preseason watch list.
Kiley Kukan, Leah Kunde, Maddie Padelski, Nadia
Ramadan and Melina Rebimbas were also named to the SEC
Preseason Watch list.
Kunde, Ramadan and Rebimbas earned this honor for
their second straight season. Both Kukan, who received SEC
All-Freshman Team honors and had five points last season,
and Padelski, who ranked fifth on the team in points with
two goals, earned this award after a breakout freshman
season. Mercer transfer and 2024 SoCon Player of the Year
Larkin Thomason joined Paul in earning a spot on the United
Soccer Coaches list. She had 38 points last season and 16
goals.
